Step one: Removing the thick of the black hair dye naturally.
What I used:
Baby shampoo, clear or white
Original Head and Shoulders shampoo
Vitamin C tablets
Pure Lemon juice
Wide tooth comb
Shower cap
Mixing bowl
Spray bottle
Hair bobbles
Normal Shampoo
Deep conditioner
Leave in conditioner
What I did:
1. Crush 40 vitamin c tablets until they are powder like.
2. Wet hair and comb through with a wide tooth comb.
3. Add two tear spoons of baby shampoo to mixing bowl.
4. Add two tear spoons of head and shoulders to mixing bowl.
5. Add one tear spoon of lemon juice to mixing bowl.
6, Add vitamin c powder to mixing bowl.
7. Mix the whole lot together until paste form.
8. Add lemon juice into a spray bottle and spray all over hair and comb through.
9. Apply paste onto the hair.
10. Put hair up and in a shower cap and leave for one hour.
11. Wash mixture out of hair with shampoo.
12. Deep conditioner hair for 15 minutes and wash off.
13. Towel dry hair and apply a leave in conditioner.
14. Leave hair to air dry.
How often I did this:
I did this method twice a week for 3 months.
My results:
The think of the black dye had been removed and my hair started to change into a red/brown colour.
Second Step:
I stopped doing step one and applied two boxes of Colour B4 to my hair.
How often I did this:
I did this once. (warning this stuff smells foul)
My results:
My hair was now pretty much all a redish brown, but still very dark.
Third step:
I went to a salon and got highlights put in my hair. The hair dresser was very reluctant to do this as she was worried about the outcome.
My results:
The outcome was brilliant and the bleach really took to my hair, the hair dresser was very surprised how well it went.
(I mentioned both step 1 and 2 because the things I used on my hair may have helped the bleach take to my hair so well, but I can't be sure. )
How often I did this:
I got highlights put in my hair every six weeks for about 8 months. The first couple of times I got highlights put in my hair it became very dry but I used deep conditioners, leave in conditioners and hair oils and my hair was smooth and soft very soon afterwards I also used purple shampoo to tone down the brassiness.
Fourth step:
On my next visit to the salon I got blonde put in all of my hair instead of more highlights.
My hair is very blonde on top and brassier towards the length. Using a purple shampoo is really making a difference and making my hair a lot lighter and getting rid of some of the brassiness. I'm due at the salon very soon and I will be getting blonde put in all of my hair once again, and I then will be fully blonde :)
